GB 2761-2011, China food safety national standard for maximum levels of mycotoxins in foods specifies the maximum levels (MLs) of aflatoxin B1, alfatoxin M1, deoxynivalenol (DON), patulin, ochratoxin A and zearalenone in foods.
The final version of GB 2761-2011 was issued by the National Health and Family Planning of People’s Republic of China (NFHPC) on 20 April 2011 and came into force on 20 October 2011. It replaced GB 2761-2005 and MLs of mycotoxins in grains stipulated by GB 2715-2005.
Compared to GB 2761-2005, the MLs and testing methods of aflatoxin B1, alfatoxin M1, deoxynivalenol (DON) have been modified by GB 2761-2011. Meanwhile, MLs of ochratoxin A and zearalenone in corresponding foods have been newly added.
Furthermore, GB 2761-2011 stipulated the application principle of this national standard and was attached with annex A. Annex A classified foods into 20 categories which is only applicable to GB 2761-2011. These would be very helpful to control mycotoxins levels of food in China.
