In China, the food production license is mandatory before starting the food production. On 1 October, 2015, the new
Administrative Measures of Food Production License
will be implemented, which includes the application requirements of food (includes dietary supplement, infant formula food and formula food for special medical use) and food additives production license. This measure stipulates that a food manufacturer should get only one food production license.
