Introduction

In the midst of worldwide economic downturn, how to deal with the regulatory barriers becomes a major point for enterprises. At the same time, government authorities around the world publish a series of regulations in succession. In order to help enterprises have an in-depth understanding of supervisory policies of cosmetics and their raw materials in the Europe Union, the United State and Asia-Pacific, and promote the communication on safety management for cosmetic products, China Association for Consumer Product Quality and Safety Promotion (CACPQSP) and Chemical Inspection & Regulation Service (CIRS) jointly host the 4th Summit Meeting on Cosmetic Regulations in Asia-Pacific on 21-22 June 2018.

The committee of this summit has invited experts from the United State and Europe Union to interpret the current status of cosmetic and its raw materials managements and help corporations know the latest regulatory updates and administrative information in these areas. Moreover, great changes happened to Chinese cosmetics regulations in 2017 such as the implementation situation of new record-keeping pilot system of imported non-special use cosmetics in Shanghai Pudong New Area. Therefore, we have invited the officials from relevant Chinese government authorities to give a comprehensive analysis on cosmetic supervisory policies and their influence on enterprises, so that corporations, both domestic and overseas, would have a deeper understanding of the latest Chinese regulations and management trend on cosmetics.
