On February 24-27th, 2019, the annual meeting of the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) was held in West Palm Beach, Florida. April Guo, General Manager of Personal Care Division of CIRS, was invited as the guest speaker. The PCPC is the leading national trade association representing cosmetic and personal care products companies that has more than 600 member companies represent more than 90 percent of the U.S. beauty industry. The PCPC annual meeting is the largest gathering of executives, suppliers and media professionals from the cosmetics and personal care industries. More than 500 attendees gathered at Palm Beach to share the global, business and policy challenges that the industry now faces. April Guo and Riven Dai from CIRS attended the meeting.
The meeting lasted two days. On the first day, experts from various countries conducted in-depth discussions on the international standards of natural and organic cosmetics, the impact of Brexit on the European cosmetics market, and the R&D, promotion and application of hemp cosmetics.
In the afternoon of the second day, April introduced the latest development of China's cosmetics laws and regulations, analyzed the Chinese cosmetics market in 2018, and explained the reform of China's non-special import filing system and how enterprises should deal with the new policy.
