South Korea Updates Existing Chemicals

On June 1, 2023, the South Korean Ministry of Environment published Notice 2023-122 on the amendment to existing chemical substances.

201 substances were revised to their original chemical name, because of the expiration of the data protection period (four substances are deleted because of their identical property and their KE No. are: 2015-3-6233; 2015-3-6256; 2016-3-7172; 2017-3-7250).

Five chemical substances are assigned with corresponding CAS numbers and additional names of substances are added based on their CAS number. (Here are their KE No.: 99-3-1196; 99-3-1197; 99-3-1198; 2000-3-1648; 2011-3-5262.)

Details of these substances are listed in Annex 2. The Notice shall enter into force after its publication.
